We got Flocked!!

Tuesday (May 4) we woke up to to a colorful flock of Flamingos or "mingos" as Willa calls them. I don't know who originally thought of the Flamingo Fundraiser but don't know anyone who wouldn't pay (or donate to charity) to get a large flock of pink lawn ornaments out of their yard! Our friends the Verneuil's(Olivia's Family) had them sent from their yard to ours... Willa was sad to see the Flamingos go but felt better when we told her we could visit them in the Denton's (Riley's Family) yard the next day!!

A visit to the fire station

Our friend Elizabeth, who coordinates our mom's group, has a freind who is a fire fighter. He invited our kiddos to tour the station. The fire fighters were soooo nice and the kids loved it!

Note: at story time and in our BTC class the kids have to be seated during the story so all kids can see. Willa, on her own, took a seat during the presentation. What a polite little girl!

Fun Spring Classes

We are taking more fun classes with Willa this quarter! Bret is braving swim lessons with Willa and we are taking the parenting/playgroup class at the college again this quarter. Did you know that you can actually get a certificate in parenting... hilarious!!

Willa isn't even close to swimming yet but she sure loves the pool!

Planting "Elmo" tomatos... don't think that Lowes doesn't know what their doing when they put a huge sesame street display full of veggie seeds right at the front door. We left Lowes with Elmo tomatos and Big Bird sun flowers. You have no idea how hard it was to leave the Oscar green beans and Ernie and Bert bell peppers behind!!

More light reading... I will take this chance to say that while Willa is not, in fact, reading yet... she does know all her letters and the sounds each letter makes. This is a bit of a late brag since she has known her letters since Christmas! She's so advanced!
