Last week we received the sad news that Bret's sweet cousin Kate had been killed in a car accident. We flew east for Kates beautiful memorial service and to be with the family. While the trip happend under sad circumstances we were glad to be with family as well as to remember and celebrate Kate's life. Here are a few pics from our trip... you will note that Bret's face says it all... it is not easy traveling with a toddler. Willa seems to be enjoying it though.

We missed our connection in Chicago so, we had a bit of a layover. Luckily there was a fun play area for kids... Willa had it almost all to herself!

Visit from Jim & Jana

Jim has been traveling the country for all his residency interviews... he had four out here in the Northwest. We were lucky enough to have a quick visit with both Jana and Jim. Jana came up to B'ham during his Seattle interviews and Jim joined us the next day. We had lovely weather for the visit so we took a long walk along the bay... below we stop for a quick pic.

23 Club Ten Year Friendiversary in NYC
